About Us
Landstack is a Global South think tank that aims to make land governance fair, inclusive and sustainable. We combine technical research with a human-centered approach to ensure that land transitions protect both people and the planet. We operate where high-level policy meets the everyday lives of land users. As researchers, practitioners and advisors, we believe that secure land rights form the foundation of a just world.

The Challenge
Land governance fails when land data fails. Missing information, outdated records and hidden facts create confusing, unjust and conflict-ridden systems. This information asymmetry leaves local communities vulnerable and cuts them out of decisions about their own futures. Landstack seeks to correct this imbalance. We fix data gaps, correct inaccuracies and connect people, institutions and clear evidence to build a transparent land ecosystem where everyone has a voice.
Our Perspective
To build solutions that actually work, we look at land through two essential vantage points. From the bird's-eye view, we analyze macro-level data, high-quality research and nationwide policy frameworks. At the same time, we pivot to the worm's-eye view, focusing entirely on ground-level realities, community wisdom and the lived experiences of individual land users. Balancing both ensures that land policy is technically sound and remains practical and deeply human.
