The Residential Workshop on Land Governance: Policy and Development is an intensive program designed to introduce participants to the key development and policy debates surrounding land issues. This workshop explores the contemporary challenges and opportunities as land has increasingly become a focal point in both global and local development discourses. The participants will delve into the multiple dimensions and critical issues related to land, essential for achieving sustainable and inclusive development.

Features:
The workshop brings experienced academicians, land administration experts, and development and legal professionals from India and abroad as Resource Persons. It also enables participants to learn from a rich array of Indian and global case studies and examples
Prerequisites:
Participants with prior engagement in land-related work in government, civil society organisations, or research institutions will benefit from the workshop. However, such prior experience while desirable is not mandatory.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the role of land and land governance in shaping development processes engage more confidently with questions relating to land records, land tenure, land rights of vulnerable groups and commons.
2. Articulate the implications of ongoing land-use transitions associated with development projects and climate-related policy commitments
3. Identify possible entry points for strengthening engagement with land governance issues within their own organisational and programme contexts
