Dr. Richa Joshi is a researcher and development practitioner with over five years of experience in land governance, gender rights, livelihoods, renewable energy, climate change and climate resilience. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Anthropology from Delhi University and has worked across India and South Asia, collaborating with governments, research institutions, and development organizations.

Her work focuses on responsible land procurement, community rights, women’s land security, and climate-responsive land policies. She has led research projects with the World Bank, IIM Ahmedabad, Cadasta, CEEW, WRI India, Womanity Foundation, FES, RMIT University, Mebourne and the University of Melbourne, Australia among others. Before this, she worked as a consultant with NRMC Intellecap. Whether it's developing land administration frameworks, mapping tenure rights, or mapping forest-based value chains, Richa is passionate about transforming research into real-world impact.

Outside of work, she begins her day with a newspaper and tea, enjoys traveling, cherishes time with her daughter, and loves experimenting with new recipes.
