Urvi Waghela

Communications Analyst

Urvi’s current role is in public relations, informed by her background in Media as a sub-editor and her training in Education studies and History. Having engaged with public policy at the district and state levels in Meghalaya through the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship, she brings an insider’s understanding of administration to Landstack’s communications. In the past, she has also worked as a researcher on projects involving Anganwadi workers in Uttarakhand, Government school teachers and government-aligned NGO workers in Tamil Nadu, learning to practice both clinical cynicism as well as care for the subjects under study. Urvi tries to synthesize, with varying degrees of success, complex information into compelling narratives, a skill sharpened over the years. In her free time (sometimes even outside it), she likes to problematise structures and systems around her, though she doesn’t like the contrarian it makes her. “Not to worry, it's a work in progress,” she says.
